From Ill Rousse to Calvi town
When I was driving along the main road between the towns of Ill-Rousse and Calvi, I was surprised at the view to the sea when I noticed a long white beach. I promised myself to go there to the beach of course after visiting of mountain villages.
Bodri and Giuncheddu beaches
Actualy there are two beaches: Bodri and Giuncheddu beach. Both beaches lies south of the town Ille Rousse. Bodri beach is a sandy beach backed by shrubby land. On the northeren part of the beach are mostly nudists but no one bothers if you are clothed or unclothed – both groups seem relaxed.The beach itself is lovely and pretty long.
There is also an small cafe at the western end. It can get pretty busy in high seson. Anyway if you walk a two or three hundred metres up you will have enough of beach for yourself. When the weather is windy the waves can be big, but on calm days I would say it is epecially good for children as the water stays very shallow for a long way out from the beach. Only a few hundrets metres next to Bodri beach lies Giunchetu beach; there's a similar paying car park.
