Tourists can walk along the initial part of the Alcantara gorge. All the waters of the catchment basin feeding the Alcantara waterway flowed in to the fissure and fro. The timeless action of the water smoothed the basalt walls of the gorge producing that excellent sample which can be admired only under the action the daylight.The gorge is reached using picturesque footpath or using current elevator. To reach the entry ways of the ravine the use of wading footwear is recommended, they may be rented at the site; these are a helpful protection from icy river and spiky rocks.
