Geographically, Abaco includes a large major island known as Great Abaco, and a a large number of less significant islands, or cays. Marsh Harbour lies close to the center of Great Abaco Island, and also have a population of about 5000 inhabitants. There are perhaps an additional 4000 or so folks fragmented about the islands, giving Abaco a resident human population of less than 10.000. A large number of Abaco’s non-boating travelers fly into Marsh Harbour; Treasure Cay includes a small air-port, which also serves New Plymouth/Green Turtle Cay.
