In 1910 a french designer and architect designed this interesting stone lighthouse. The lighthouse was built on Aruba in years 1916 and 1914. The name of the lighthouse comes from a sank wooden ship called California that lies at the bottom of the sea close to the shore. Surrounding around lighthouse are very interesting everything i sfull of stoned landscape, dune surfing is very popular with teenagers they can go surfing on white sand dunes that are around lighthouse. Its very fun and popular you just need to wear strong pants or jeans and slide down the dunes in whatever ways you like. Aruba lighthouse is one of the most known sightseeing spots on the island of Aruba. It is located on the northwest part very close to the Arashi Beach.
Lighthouse was built to warn the ship that they are close to the Caribbean coastline, this monument gives you a glimpse into exciting history and one of the most attractive views on this gorgeous island. The lighthouse stands there in the memory of a shipwreck of wooden steamship named S.S. California that happened in September of 1891. They were coming from Liverpool to America. That night the crew had a big party on board, the crew was more worried about the cargo on the ship, so they were throwing cargo overboard so they could sell the goods in Oranjestad, at least they tell the story so.

A french architect designed the interesting design of a lighthouse, construction began in 1914 and took two years to finish the lighthosue. They used stone block that were around the area, the top of the lighthouse is at 100 feet high, this top is made of metal they wanted that the top shines when the sun comes up on the landscape.
Looking high over the ocean this old lighthouse made of stone is now known as the most popular and known sightseeing spots on Aruba. Around the lighthouse you'll find interesting golf course called Tierra del Sol, around there are also white sand beaches where you can enjoy in swimming in warm tropical sea and sunbathing. The area where the lighthouse is located is known as Hudishibana, where you can surf on sandy dunes.
Around the lighthouse you'll find restaurants where you could refresh yourself. Italian restaurant is just around the corner with a beautiful terraces where you'll enjoy in a beautiful sunsets.
