Mountains behind of Preddvor village

When we take a look to the mountains behind Preddvor village, we found Mt.Cjanovca (1820 m) and Mt Srednji vrh (1855 m). In the middle of its grassy slopes lie the forest, which looks like someone forgot it up there.The name of the forest is Devil's Forest. In the foreground of Mt. Cjanovca stands a hill called St. Jakob above Preddvor. This is one of those hills, which daily attracts many hikers.

Trip from Preddvor to mt. Cjanovca

The ascent to the mt. Cjanovca start in a small village Mace near Preddvor. At the end of the village you can leave the car. It is also possible to get on the forest road a little higher to lower stand of lift for Dom na Kaliscu. This spare us about 30 minutes walk on this forest road. After we get far on this road, in about 5 minutes path go to the forest and we start to mount up. From the village of Mace to the top of mt. Cjanovae we will spent about three hours and for the entire route between five and six hours. We must also consider that the tour will be extended if we visited the Devil's forest.
