Vela Luka and nearby beaches
Some of the Vela Luka beaches in Korcula are reachable only by boat, on the other hand there are also easy reachable beaches by car. Vela Luka is surrounded with variety of beautiful beaches, lonely bays where you can have all the privacy and easily reachable beaches from your holiday apartment or hotel.
Most of Vela Luka beaches are accesible by boat or car. Gradina beach has a beautiful bay with white stone beach and chrystal pure water. Gradina is also a town with variety of holiday homes that are located on the island of Korcula. Gradina beach is only 5 km away from Vela Luka port, which often it is a good thing so you can be close all the restaurants, bars, stores, entertainment and cultural offer.

Generally the island of Korcula is surrouned with beautifuly crystal clear sea and its endless coastline that has bigger and smaller coves with more popular and visited and more hidden beaches.
A group of 40 islets is a unique feature of Korcula and is just perfect for diving, swimming and exploring. Among those 40 islets the more special one is Proizd, which has won in 2007 one of the most beautiful beah in the Adriatic.
Almost all the coves and the beaches are accessible by scooter, boat or a car. Most agencies have speedboats, cars, boats, scooters that you can rent for a regular price. Some of the more popular beaches in the Vela Luka are Tankaraca, Martina bok, Zukova, Tudorovica, Mikulina Luka, Gabrica beach, Plitvine beach. You can get on two little islands of Osjak and Proizd just by taking a regular trips from Vela Luka.
Holidays on beaches of Krk town
Proizd is an islet located at the entrance to Vela Luka. It is famous for its beautiful beaches and clear blue sea. You can get there from Vela Luka by a taxi boat (about 30 min ride) which docks in bay Perna.
There is also a nudist beach on the island. The beach is rocky, with some pebbly parts, and the sea bottom is covered with small white stones. On Proizd a scent of pines and clarity of the sea will enchant you together with the white pebbles, smooth rocks and intense cricket song.
Ošjak islet - If you want to enjoy untouched nature, peace and silence without the traces of urban life, come to Osjak. It is an inhabited island in the center of the Vela Luka gulf. The distance from the town center is just 10 min by boat. There is a taxi-boat service organised several times a day. There you will find beautiful swimming and sunbathing spots and on the western end, just by the path, there is a beautiful cave surrounded by the sea and rocks. Another name for Osjak is The Island of Love.
