The airport of Barcelona Spain - El Prat de Llobregat is positioned aproximatly 15 km from Barcelona city. From airport you can reach Barcelona with Aerobus which depart every 15 minutes. The aerobus service is a shuttle bus service that links Barcelona airport to the city centre, there you can catch the metro underground.

Another way reaching Barcelona from airport is with train which is cheaper as aerobus. The RENFE train service runs approximately every 30 mins to and from Barcelona airport to the city centre. Travel time approximately 25 minutes.

You can also choose yelow-black taxi (aprox 15 eur) or car hire. There are few companies that offer cheap car hire. If you wish exploring Barcelona and it's surroundings alone or in self arrangement, car hire should be good decision.

As a city break destination Barcelona is one of the most popular in Europe. Every week the city is packed with visitors and in spite of the plentiful accommodation you'll find a shortage of beds unless you book well in advance.
