Besides covered in white snow and being a huge ski resort, Sierra Nevada has very mild climate and the cold isent too harsh. It is great that you can go skiing in the springtime only in a short-sleeve shirt or spring jackets. Mountain range Sierra Nevada has summer months such as August and July a maximum temperature around 20 celsius and the minimum temperature in summer time is between 11 and 12 degrees. In spring and fall the temperatures are pretty mild.

In winter time the minimum temperature can reach –10 below zero and the maximum hardly gets above 0 degrees. July is the warmest summer month with 17 degrees and February is one of the coldest winter months with a medium temperature of –5 celsius. The rain is almost nonexistent in summer time. But usually yearly rainfall is around 700 liters per squre meter. December is the rainiest month of all. Because the area of Costa tropical dont have enough of rain, this weather has huge influence on Sierra Nevada's ski resorts. Here the ski seasons are pretty short. They open their ski resorts mostly in December and with a lot of luck they keep them open until the end of April.
